Description
The Oasis Protocol Foundation supports privacy-first Internet projects and develops privacy-protecting apps to increase network performance. The consensus layer is a PoS-secured Blockchain with decentralized validator nodes. Fraud-proofs separate execution from consensus. On Oasis Network's Cipher ParaTime, nodes must employ a TEE (Trusted Execution Environment), which works as a hypothetical black box for smart contract execution in a confidential ParaTime. Data is encrypted, processed by the Smart Contract, and then encrypted before leaving the TEE. This ensures that node operators or application developers never see confidential data.
